Immigration

The Immigration Team is an active group of Barristers within Chambers with a wide range of experience. They are able to deal with all aspects of immigration law, including:

  • Asylum
  • Bail
  • Deportation
  • Domestic Violence
  • Entrepreneurs
  • European Economic Area Migrants
  • Family Reunion
  • Human Rights
  • Judicial Review
  • Nationality
  • Points-Based System Applications
  • Spouse Settlement
  • Students
  • Visitors

Our immigration Barristers have experience in all immigration tribunals and courts up to and including the Court of Appeal. Members of the Team have particular experience in judicial review, including emergency injunctions. A number of them can be instructed by members of the public directly.

The Immigration Team regularly runs a summer seminar series on immigration law and produces immigration updates online. Members of the Team hold regular meetings to discuss developments in the law, which are chaired by Michael Harris, the Head of the Immigration Team and a fee-paid Immigration Judge.

Please note that other than in exceptional circumstances, Chambers will not accept instructions under the ‘Reform Procedure’ to prepare an ‘Appeal Skeleton Argument’, unless specific provision is made for that work to be adequately remunerated. For a full statement, please read our news article.
